We were on a walking tour with two other ( family) couples in Northern Ireland and the tour company booked us into this excellent B& B for 2 nights. It is excellent in many ways including its locality- 5 min walk to the harbour and about the same to the centre of town, the rooms were clean and very comfortable, there were great facilities for travellers including comfy lounge areas with coffee and tea making facilities, and a fabulous breakfast. The hosts Berkeley and Claire couldn’t have done anymore to make us feel more welcome. Berkeley is an experienced walker and provided invaluable advice about the walking routes and he also coordinated taxis to get us to our starting points. We highly recommend this B& B and thank Berkeley and Claire for their outstanding hospitality.

Lovely hosts, excellent breakfast (!), a nicely furnished room with windows that open and several cozy sitting rooms to while away an afternoon once you’ve had enough of the beach. Can’t recommend enough!

All around excellent experience staying at An Caisleán. Great location within walking distance to the seafront and beach. The room was clean and newly updated, very comfortable beds. The breakfast provided each day had a variety of options and was delicious. Most importantly, Berkeley (the host), was extremely attentive and accommodating. He communicated with us via text daily to ensure our stay was everything we needed. It is very clear how much he cares for his property and his guests. Will definitely stay again!

Great stay! One of our favorite places we stayed around Northern Ireland. Very communicative, very comfortable rooms/beds, loved that they had self-serve tea/coffee station, they had multiple shared living spaces with couches/TV that other B&Bs had but these were just definitely the most cozy. Great location right downtown too. Berkeley was very knowledgeable with lots of tips as well. Would stay again!

I usually don't write reviews, but this B&B is exceptional. We had a spacious modern clean room and very tasty breakfast. The real difference is Berkeley and his support on arranging things and also all suggestions he makes, are 100% helpful.

We happened upon this place by luck of the draw. We were driving through the Irish countryside and saw a b&b on a map but the person doesn't do it anymore. She kindly called around and found this particular b&b for us. What a wonderful place!! Berkeley is the best host! He is helpful, knowledgeable and very hospitable. He worked with us even though we weren't in town to save a room and then welcomed us completely. The room was spectacular. It was very clean. Breakfast was great! The whole setup was just really really great. If you're going to be in BalleyCastle, Northern Ireland, I highly recommend you stop here. You can't go wrong!

I think this was our favorite stay in Northern Ireland. Berkeley was immensely helpful. We were on a hiking tour through the area and I think he knew more about our logistics than we did! The rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable and the breakfasts were wonderful. They also have a self-service coffee/tea station with great options. We loved our stay and could not give a better recommendation!
